This is an excellent lens to use on an everyday shoot.This is the lens I have attached to my camera about 98% of the time.It has good DOF good lighting capabilities, robust and ideal for portraits. I would be careful about using the 150-200mm range without a tripod.The lens tends to move in the hand in this area and the image is blurred. If you absolutely cannot travel with a tripod, I would go the extra $200 and purchase the image stable lens in this rang that Sigma also offers.If you do not want to spend that much more for the lens, use a tripod to the remote, or try to hold the lens while supporting your arm on something stable. Otherwise, it's an excellent all encompassing lens..

I purchased this pouch to protect my camera+lens from bumps and scratches when I carry it in large purses or bags.It's hard to gauge the size of the pouch, but I'll just say that it fits my Canon 30D and 50mm f/1.4 lens with a bit of room to spare in the lens area, so I keep an extra battery in the tip end of the pouch.Canon fit a standard zoom lens, I like the chunkier 17 〜 55 f/2.8. I don't think the kit zooms, like the 28-135 would fit either.With plot material, I think that my 7D can be compressed in there. I don't need the ring that attaches the pouch to the camera, but it's handy to have just in case.I ordered it cheaper from Adorama (through Amazon) and it came very quickly..

This camera takes pictures that are very crisp looking until enlarged beyond a standard 8.5" x 11" paper size. It has a generous amount of functionality although I would have liked the option of changing the shutter speed in the manual shooting mode.Overall I am very happy with this point-n-shoot, especially for the price. The cons listed above were not a deal breaker for me when researching this camera and I would still purchase this camera if I had to do over it again..

Canon EOS Rebel 2000 35mm SLR Camera Kit with 28-80mm Lens

I've had this camera for a few years and i've taking great pitures with it. I do think i like my canon XSi better, but that is newer technoligy. The pictures i took were great but i like being able to view the pictures right away like on the XSi.There does not control many things manualy, but it does not have automatic focus, and I feel. All there really is, is the mode wheel thing, a timed shot button, AV set, and those are really the major things. As a sugjestion, i got a battery pack for the camaera.it makes the camera has an internal battery length about 2x more. Also, you probaly don't need to get these but i have 28-90 lens. Overall this is a good camera..
